Anthony Abeson’s acting classes are held at The Producer's Club - 358 West 44th Street – NY NY 10019

There are two sets of acting classes:

Tuesdays and Thursdays - 3:00 to 5:00 and Tuesdays and Thursdays - 5:00 to 6:45
Both classes are conducted with the goal of "doing work that gets work," and with the conviction that the best teacher is experience. Thus, there is a minimum of sitting and listening and a maximum of doing and experiencing. Each week sides which are currently casting are unlocked, rehearsed, taped and watched analytically. Attention is also paid to individual acting concerns, monologues, improvisation and scene study.

Believing, as we do, in Stanislavski's dictum: "No recipes, whatever works," it is our intention that a wide variety of tools is made available for the actors' tool belts, for them to use as circumstances and material require. Of equal importance is our belief that after a maximum of two years of study, an actor must either join another class (lest our own work becomes a recipe) and/or devote themselves entirely to auditioning and performing, putting into practice some of the tools that have been acquired. Regardless of whatever route these actors take, they are always welcome to enroll in the July summer sessions, after they've been away long enough to have gained perspective.
